The 1970s Project

Sally Shaw is the newest member of the 70s project team.

With a first degree in Sociology and teaching experience in social and political theory, Sally's interest is focussed on portrayals of youth in 1970s film and television. Her research centres on the issue of controlling youth via social and political interventions and institutions. This work is the subject of a doctoral thesis beginning in October 2007.
