This was a very interesting event, in which Miss Jackson talked about her career in the period, discussed her work with various directors (such as Ken Russell and Joseph Losey) and examined the role of women in general in the industry. A full version of the interview will appear on this site in due course.

1970's Project Team Mini Documentary

At present the whole project team is deeply involved in the process of researching aspects of 1970s Film and TV.

However part of their busy schedule is to produce their own mini documentary. If you would like to meet the team and find out the areas of academic research that are defined by their own personal fascinations and obsessions with the era, you will be able to view each member of the team via this website.

Content will include a review by each individual on their subject accompanied by relevant clips and images.

The 1970s Culture Conference is extremely honoured to be hosting a Q&A session with Sandy Lieberson followed by a screening of one his seminal films (date and time to be announced). He is at present the Chair at Film London and has been a major figure in the film industry in Europe and America since the 1960s, having acted as an agent for Sergio Leone, Peter Sellers, Lindsay Anderson and the Rolling Stones.
